Shipping policy

Thank you for shopping with Arab Hyphenated. All of our products are designed with love in Istanbul and produced on demand by our trusted Print-on-Demand (POD) fulfillment partners. We craft each piece with care, and our fulfillment process is designed to be transparent, reliable, and respectful of your time.

This policy covers order processing, shipping times, tracking, and what to expect in the event of delays, damage, or lost items—from creation to doorstep.

Order Processing & Fulfillment

  • All items are made to order and fulfilled by our third-party print-on-demand (POD) partners.
  • Production time typically takes 2–5 business days, depending on the item type, order volume, and partner location.
  • Fulfillment centers are automatically selected based on availability, stock, and proximity to the shipping address. 
  • Orders are processed Monday–Friday, excluding U.S. public holidays.
  • Orders placed on weekends or holidays begin processing on the next business day.

Split Shipments

Because some items are fulfilled by different suppliers, orders may arrive in multiple packages.

  • Each package will ship separately from the facility producing that item.

  • You may receive multiple tracking numbers for a single order.

  • Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on the products in your cart and which fulfillment partner is shipping them.

Shipping Coverage & Methods

  • United States: We currently ship nationwide.

  • International: Select countries are supported through our fulfillment partners. Availability is shown at checkout.

Carriers may include USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or local equivalents.

The shipping method is determined by each fulfillment partner and cannot be changed or expedited after the order is placed.

Estimated Shipping Times

Once an item has been fulfilled, expected delivery times are:

  • United States (Economy): 4–8 business days

  • United States (Standard): 2–5 business days

  • International (Standard): 10–30 business days

Note: Multiple items may ship separately and arrive on different days. Delivery estimates are provided by our fulfillment partners and may vary.

Shipping Rates

  • Shipping rates are calculated at checkout and are based on:

    • The products in your order

    • The fulfillment location(s) shipping them

    • The shipping method available (economy or standard)

Example: A t-shirt from one partner and a mug from another will be packaged and shipped separately, with rates applied per shipment.

International Shipping Charges

International orders may be subject to the customs duty & import procedures of the destination country and therefore the total cost of shipping cannot be estimated at checkout. We accept no responsibility for import/customs charges on international orders.

General U.S. Rates (for reference):

  • Economy (4–8 business days): from $7.39–$7.99 for first item

  • Standard (2–5 business days): from $8.49 for first item

  • Free Shipping: Orders over $200 and under $400 (U.S. only, applied automatically)

Tracking & Notifications

  • You’ll receive an email with tracking details once each package ships.

  • Tracking updates may take 48–72 hours depending on the carrier.

  • Multiple tracking numbers may be issued for multi-item orders.

Taxes, Duties & Import Fees

  • U.S. Orders: Sales tax is collected where required by law.

  • International Orders:

    • Arab Hyphenated does not collect VAT, GST, or duties at checkout.

    • Your order may be subject to local import duties, taxes, and fees once it arrives in your country.

    • These charges are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in your checkout total.

    • If you refuse delivery due to unpaid duties/taxes, the order will not be refunded.

Address Accuracy

  • Orders are shipped to the exact address entered at checkout.

  • We are not responsible for failed deliveries due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.

  • Our system uses address validation to catch common errors.

    To help reduce delivery issues, we’ve integrated an address validation system at checkout. This tool helps catch common errors and formatting issues (e.g., ZIP code mismatches, missing apartment numbers).

    If your address cannot be validated, you may still proceed—but you assume all risk for delivery issues. We are not responsible for failed delivery or lost packages due to incorrect or incomplete addresses. Please double-check that:

    • Your name and street address are accurate
    • You’ve included unit/apartment numbers, if applicable
    • Your email and phone number are correct for delivery updates

    If you catch a mistake, contact us within 12 hours of ordering at hello@arabyphenated.com. We’ll do our best to fix it before production begins, but changes aren’t guaranteed after fulfillment starts. 

Shipping Delays & Liability

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Natural disasters or severe weather
  • Carrier delays or regional disruptions
  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses
  • Once a package is handed over to the carrier, risk of loss passes to the customer.

If your order is delayed more than 10 business days beyond its estimated delivery window, please contact us at hello@arabhyphenated.com.

Return & Delivery Failure Process: Who Receives the Package

Orders Fulfilled by our Suppliers (Standard POD Process)

When a customer places an order:

  • It’s produced and shipped directly from one of our third-party print providers.
  • The return address on the shipping label is typically the fulfillment partner’s facility address, not the address of Arab Hyphenated.

Undeliverable Packages & Return Address

  • If a package is returned due to an address issue or failed delivery attempt, it will be sent back to the return address listed by our fulfillment provider, not our Brooklyn or Istanbul studios.
  • We do not receive undeliverable packages directly. Please contact us at hello@arabhyphenated.com to initiate a reshipment  (additional fees may apply).

Lost or Damaged Packages

If your order is lost or arrives damaged, email hello@arabhyphenated.com within 3 days of delivery. Include:

  • Your order number
  • A brief description of the issue
  • Photos and/ or video of damaged items and packaging
  • We will open an investigation with our fulfillment partner and resolve the issue as soon as possible.

This policy may be updated at any time without notice. By placing an order on our site, you agree to this shipping policy and our general terms of service.

We collaborate with trusted fulfillment partners who handle production and shipping logistics. However, Arab Hyphenated is your direct point of contact for all customer support.
